Purple Eyeshadow

There is so much to choose from in purple eyeshadows that it can be hard to know where to begin. Keep in mind that many women use more than one color. It's common to use a base color, a highlight and a darker contour color in or near the crease. You young pups are so lucky. I wish we had this when I was in high school. I think this has got to be one of the best makeup products ever invented. If you have a problem with eyeshadow fading after a few hours, then you need to try this product. It's fantastic. I think it's invaluable, especially as I age since it's much easier for my skin to look washed out than it once was. But this is great for any age whether you wear it under your day or nighttime eyeshadow. You can buy it on Amazon or eBay.

What is it About Purple?

There's something about purple that just exudes luxury and comfort. Purple is called a 'cool' color as in temperature along with blue and green. In interior decorating, you would use these colors to make something appear like its receding into the background.

If you think of cool colors in terms of mood, they usually make us feel calm and serene. Purple is also the color of royalty. In makeup application, darker purple is often associated with the fall and light purple with the spring. But I think this color is meant to be worn any time you want, especially when you want to feel luxurious.

Purple Lipstick

Purple lipstick sounds quite dramatic doesn't it? Like any other makeup item, it simply depends on which shade you choose and how it looks against your skin tone. Very pale colors generally look better on younger women with lighter skin and dark tones on darker skin. But there's the goth look and people who can defy beauty rules. Many purple lipsticks have a mauve or red color mixed in as well, so they will look good on many different types of women.

Liners are meant to accentuate your lips and lip color which is usually why they come in darker colors.
