Puss 'n Cahoots: A Mrs. Murphy Mystery Book Review
I recently read this absolutely wonderful mystery by Rita Mae Brown and her cat Sneaky Pie Brown entitled Puss 'n Cahoots. Harry Haristeen and her cats Mrs. Murphy and Pewter along the dog Tucker solve yet another fun mystery. This time the crimes take place in Kentucky Horse county at a saddlebred horse show in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Read on to find out about this delightful light-hearted mystery novel and the main characters of the book.

Editorial Reviews
Although this is the 15th Mrs. Murphy mystery, it was the first for me to read. I found it a fun and light reading experience and thoroughly enjoyed the characters. The cat sleuths, Mrs. Murphy and Pewter along with the Corgi Tucker help the human sleuth Mary Minor "Harry" Haristeen find the clues and solve the mysteries that occur in Shelbyville, Kentucky at a saddlebred horse show. One of the villains is a despicable monkey named Miss Nasty who just brings more humor to the book. The animals were clearly the most delightful part of the book for me and I will probably never look at my own cats the same again. It is an easy read and will be enjoyed most whole heartedly by any cat lover and owner. I plan to read more of the Mrs. Murphy Mystery books in the future! I've become her newest fan.
Mrs. Murphy Books 1-5
Mrs. Murphy
She is Harry's tiger cat who possesses high intelligence and is very athletic and seems to be the voice of reason.
Mrs. Murphy Books 6-10
Pewter
She is Mrs. Murphy's rather overweight sidekick. What she lacks in athletic ability she makes up for with her attitude.
Mrs. Murphy Books 11-15
Tee Tucker
She is the dog, a Corgi by breed, who loves the cats and Harry and is quite helpful in finding clues and sometimes keeps Pewter in line.
Could this be a clue from Tucker Tee?
Perhaps the Corgi, Tucker Tee is leaving Mrs. Murphy and Pewter a clue in one of the mysteries...

"Harry" Haristeen
She is the human sleuth who loves her animals and is quite adept at solving the mystery. Although the cats and dog need to help her because after all she just can't smell the clues or see as good in the dark as her animal counterparts can!
