Put An End To Littering

People all over the world need to get on board and help stop this growing problem...We need to stand together as one and say "No To Littering"...

We as humans think we can do whatever we please and not have to suffer any consequences for our actions...We might want to re-think that, just because it's your cigarette butt or maybe your empty water bottle doesn't mean that little squirrel or the robin living in the area want to share it with you...

I am trying to do my part, I have a Zazzle store "Litter Mania", which is mostly images of litter, but I do have images of wildlife that us as humans are hurting and even killing with our unspeakable littering...Plus I added scenery pictures of the beautiful places that are just being ruined by us the humans that throw garbage wherever we please...

Litter is terribly harmful to wildlife, fishing lines will trap the legs, wings, or neck of birds...Foxes and coyotes can cut their feet on broken bottles , small mammals can get stuck in glass jars while their trying to see if theres food inside...Plastic six-pack holders can kill birds, fish and mammals if they swallow it or it gets wrapped around them either trapping them or strangling them...

In the night while most people are sleeping wildlife is wandering the streets looking for food, raccoons, coyotes, skunks are popular here in our city...Not only is it bad for wildlife to scrape threw our garbage it also leaves a huge mess for us in the morning, especially if a baby animal swallows a bottle cap and is lying dead next to the garbage that was thrown out on the ground by some uncaring human...

Are you aware that if an animal like a deer for example, eats to much flour based foods (like bread) that they can die, since it can cause a gummy substance to form within the stomach which then interferes with their digestion systems...Then there's food poisoning that wildlife can get from contaminated food that was thrown out and became old overtime...

It irritates me when I'm driving down the highway then a car or truck in front of me throws out their garbage...It's discussing, rude, lazy, unhealthy and in bad taste...People need to see the effect that littering has, and plain and simply quit doing it...

Are you aware that plastic never really breaks down, it's a inorganic material so decomposing will never really happen...As for a tin can it can take up to 100 years for it to break down, where as your babies disposable diaper can take up to 800 years, is this really something we want littering our highways, parks, beaches or anywhere for that matter...

How about that glass bottle, did you know glass never breaks down, here's an example of that: I was working on a job site here in Vancouver where we were hauling away contaminated soil, as we were digging we found empty glass bottles of whiskey dating back to "His Majesty The King", if you know when that was maybe you could let me know for now I'm thinking over a hundred years ago...Some of these Whiskey bottles were in great shape with only a few chips, they were a thick brown glass, with a unicorn and a lion on the front...

I live out in the country and let me tell you not a day goes by that someone doesn't use our road as their personal garbage dump...One day half a block from my house where the rural mailbox is kept, someone thought it was a perfect place to dump off not just one, but two chesterfield sets...Thats's two chairs and two couch's, what were they thinking, that the people living in my neighborhood were going to check their mail and want a free couch, whatever it was just gross and rude...

Personally I'm sick to death of it, I live here and so do a lot of wildlife, in fact we have a pack of coyotes living across the street from our house and I find it unacceptable that someone would come into my neighborhood and chuck their garbage on my road or on my property...Yes even on my property, one morning when we were heading to work, right at the end of my driveway was two large green garbage bags just full of someone else's garbage...
