Welcome to the hunt!

Skeleton hunting is a popular sport among some Puzzle Pirates players. Basically, skeletons appear every now and then and you go and fight them in large group battles. If you can win, you get plenty of booty. If you lose, however, it can be costly..

Skellies? WHERE?!?

Two questions are commonly asked about the skellie fights: When are they? and Where are they?

To answer both in one fell swoop, Skeletons appear on random islands anywhere in the ocean every 4-7 hours. You can find them either by randomly wandered onto them, or by looking on your mission board if you have a renowned or above in swordfighting.

How do you get a renowned or above? Well, you have to be rather good and beat up other players. To this end, you could head over to my sword fighting lens for some sword fighting tips.

How do you fight skellies?

Skellies are in groups, usually between 10 and 50 skeletons. When you fight them, fight you click a skellie and say "Join the fray!" You'll have to give the skeleton 100 poe and an item selected by the skellie from your inventory. After you do this, you're in the fray.
Once there are an equal number of skeletons and people, you click the vote to start the fight button.
And after half the people have voted the fight begins!
Skellie fights are done in sword fights. They can be very challenging, especially in large groups, if you don't know how to team well.

How to team

The most important thing in skeleton fights is proper teaming. It doesn't matter how good the players are, if you're teamed badly, you will lose.

For starters, in order to team you click on one of the opponents faces on the right. The person you're attacking will have a white box around it. Each colored dot next to them represents a person who is attacking. You want to make sure the one you're attacking always has two or three dots.
No more, no less.

Puzzle Pirates on Amazon

Well, one of the only benefits to buying te box instead of just downloading the game is you can get a unique, indestructible sword that can't be gotten otherwise. And better sword means better skellie slaying, right?

Want the ownage of your face showcased?

If the skellies dropped a particularly impressive beating on your face and you've got a screen shot, drop me a line via the contact button or email at socialistgamer [at] gmail [dot] com and I could stick it up for all to see.

Because we all like to show everyone how totally whooped we got.

And, what do I win?

Once you've beaten the skellies, each person gets 1000 poe, plus the poe people bet during all the frays is divided evenly among the winning fighters.

On top of this, everyone who took part in the winning fray gets the items that were wagered divided among them.
