Born in 1961 in Shanghai, Qiu Jie is a leading Chinese artist. His name is a pseudonym.
Qiu began copying and making propaganda pictures at ten years of age. He is now a master of his trade, having graduated in 1994 from Geneva's School of Fine Arts.
His work is currently on display at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
