Crossing the US on I-80, you'll find yourself crossing the Mississippi at Davenport, Iowa, one of what is know as the "Quad Cities."
Located on the border of Iowa and Illinois, the Quad Cities are the only place where the Mississippi River runs east and west.
This area is full of things to discover and is an easy day trip from Chicago.

I just completed a lens about growing up in Iowa, in the weekly newspaper business.
Showless Joe: "Is this Heaven?" ... "No, its Iowa." I hadn't lived in Iowa for many years when I saw Field of Dreams, but I knew what he was talking about!
