It's About Quality
About The Website
Why Does She Do It?
I have this thing about crafts. I don't like to look all over the Internet for hours trying to find a pattern for (say...) a bear so I can have a marble painting activity and only be able to find scary bears, bears that are too big, or I don't know, maybe coloring pages that are poor quality and have those ragged edges because they have been enlarged and then someone put a huge copyright notice across the bear's head.I'm not saying that all free kids crafts are like that, but I just wasn't happy with the selection available. Yeah, let's just put it that way.
Over the course of at least a year, I taught myself the skills necessary to create high-quality, yet low file-size line drawings of commonly used materials for early childhood education.
I started a website: Quality-Kids-Crafts.com to make these resources available for free download. This website includes more than just coloring pages; though you will find plenty of those there, too.
The site offers puppets, banners, shape templates, and all sorts of crafts. We also have lots of great information on developmentally appropriate expectations and practices. There are recipe pages (both for food and for craft supplies like slime and stuff that we don't really recommend that you eat, or serve).
We also have a free monthly newsletter called Cute Tips.
I highly encourage feedback and will develop resources upon request whenever possible. More will be continued to be added to the site on an on-going basis. Please stop by and check out what we have to offer. Everything is free, and subtly copyrighted. Anyone is free to distribute the materials as long as the Quality-Kids-Crafts.com copyright notice is not removed and the resources may not be sold under any circumstance (because that would be just plain wrong).
So, party on, and please: don't run with scissors.
Questions? Suggestions? Observations?
This is where you get to write something and it magically appears on the Internet! Cool!
Really, if you would like to see something new, different, or just think you have an idea that I haven't gotten to yet, let me know!
