Quebec City, Quebec, Ville de Québec, Québec

Quebec City or Québec (French: Ville de Québec, or simply Québec) is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is the second largest city in the province, after Montreal. Quebec's Old Town (Vieux-Québec), the only North American fortified city north of Mexico whose walls still exist, was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1985 as the "Historic District of Old Quebec". It is also one of the oldest cities in North America. The city has a population of 528,595, and the metropolitan area has a population of 717,600 (2005).

Quebec City is known for its Winter Carnival and the Château Frontenac, a historic hotel which dominates the city skyline. The National Assembly of Quebec (provincial parliament), the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (National Museum of Fine Arts) and the Museum of Civilization are found within or near Vieux-Québec.

Among the tourist attractions in the city are Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in the town of Beaupré.

The Chateau Frontenac

Grand Hotel in Quebec City

The Chateau Frontenac grand hotel is one of the most popular attractions in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

The hotel is perched on a tall cape overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, thus giving a spectacular view for several miles. The building is the most prominent feature of the Quebec City skyline as seen from across the St. Lawrence, and is a symbol of the city. The hotel is built near the Plains of Abraham.

In 1953 this hotel was used as filming location for the Alfred Hitchcock's drama I Confess, with Montgomery Clift and Ann Baxter as main stars.

When a hotel just won't do...

If you are tired of staying at hotels and are looking for a special accommodation in Quebec this exquisite 2 bedroom condo with a breathtaking view may be the answer. Here's what one reviewer had to say about it:

"We stayed in this condo just before the holidays. The condo itself is as amazing as the view. It is large, the decor is great and it is very comfy and clean. It has everything you possibly could need. The bed in the master bedroom is incredibly comfy! It was also very quiet. We have been to QC several times and have stayed at the Frontenac. We found the condo to be much more comfortable and, in our opinion, the Frontenac is better to look at than it is to stay there. A ferry goes across to QC every 30 mins so it is extremely convenient to get to the heart of old QC. Great shopping in QC and the restaurants are awesome. We LOVE Le Lapin Saute! The condo has a wall of windows overlooking the river with QC just on the other side. You cannot beat the view! There were chunks of ice in the river and we watched these crazy guys canoe (and walk when they got stuck) across the river. The area just around the condo is great too. We HIGHLY recommend!"
2br - The Most Spectacular View of Quebec City

2br - The Most Spectacular View of Quebec City

Quebec City is known for their breathtaking views, pleasant citizens, and an abundant of both summer and winter activities. If you can not afford that trip to Europe, Quebec City is without question, the next best thing! In fact, we believe in so many ways it's even better.

When we decided that we wanted to buy property in Quebec City, we wanted views of both the Chateau Frontenac and Saint Lawrence River, we also wanted to be walking distance to Old Town Quebec City and of course we wanted parking. There is only one property in the Quebec City region that offers all this!

In our opinion, Quebec City is the most beautiful/romantic city in North America, the foods are amazing, the night life is spectacular, the people make you feel like they are happy that you are spending time in their city!

We find Quebec City to be one of the most amazing places on this earth, unfortunately we can not spend all our time there, so we decided to make our place available so others can enjoy!
