Guy Meals - Quick cooking with minimal effort and simple ingredients
Believe it or not, you can make yourself quick meals that are easy to prepare with items right out of your pantry, fridge or freezer without resorting to complex cooking methods or lengthy preparation times.
Who wants to spend hours preparing a meal for just yourself, right guys? OK, so here's the first recipe and I'll be adding more later on so be sure and check back for more tasty eats.
Much better beans and franks
Well, here is a quick and easy recipe to spice it up that's quite tasty and can be used as a side dish or main course.
Ingredients:
1 28 oz. can of Bush's Country Style baked beans
1 package of Johnsonville Beer or Stadium brats
1 medium onion
2 tbsp. of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 small can of mushroom stems and pieces (optional)
Slice the brats into 1/2" thick slices. Dice the onion coarsely and add to a medium saucepan with the brat slices. Saute over medium to high heat to slightly brown the brats and the onions start to turn translucent. (this brings out the sweetness of the onions) The optional mushrooms can be added toward the end of the sauteing process. Add the beans and BBQ sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Enjoy.

Fastest Ever Egg Sandwich
Ok, here we go.
Ingredients:
1 egg
1/8 cup or less milk
1 slice of American cheese (optional)
2 slices of bread or bagel
Non-stick cooking spray
Pop your bread or bagel in the toaster. Take a small bowl and lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Crack an egg into it, add a little milk and beat it with a fork for about 20 seconds.
Microwave on high for 1 minute. Immediately put the slice of cheese on top. The egg will be hot enough to melt the cheese in a few seconds or you can microwave another 5-7 seconds.
By now your toast or bagel is ready. The egg/cheese will slide right out of the bowl onto your toast or bagel thanks to the non-stick spray. You can add a little mayo, salt and pepper if you like and it's ready to eat.
And you don't even have a pan to wash!
Gotta Have guy stuff
Good & Easy Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb (or a little more) ground turkey
½ medium onion - diced
1 - 14.5 oz. can diced new potatoes - drained
1 - 15 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 - 10.5 oz. can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 - 7 oz. (small) can mushrooms stems and pieces - drained
1 - tbsp butter
Saute the onion in a large skillet with the butter for a few minutes and then add the ground turkey, stirring it around until it's cooked through. If you have a large enough skillet, you can mix the rest of the ingredients in. Otherwise transfer the turkey and onion to a large mixing bowl and then add the potatoes, corn, soup and mushrooms and mix well. Then transfer to a 2 qt. casserole dish and bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 45 minutes and it's ready to eat.
Now if you really want to save time on preparation and cleanup, use a 12 inch cast iron skillet to cook the turkey and mix the ingredients and then you can stick the whole thing right into the oven saving you two transfers and the cleanup of the mixing bowl and casserole dish. Do I look out for you guys or what?
