Twilight Tourist Destination & Home To The "Real" Quileute Tribe

With the overwhelming success of the Twilight books and movies, the Quileute Indian Reservation has become a popular tourist destination as part of the Twilight tours and road trips by many Stephenie Meyer fans. In the Twilight Saga, LaPush, Washington is home to a Quileute boy named Jacob Black who reunites with childhood friend, Bella Swan after she moves to the nearby town of Forks. The story is a romantic and adventurous tale of a human girl, a handsome vampire, and a young werewolf, (shape shifter). In Twilight, the legends of the Quileute wolves were believed to just be old stories, until Jacob and his friends turn into a pack of wolves, protectors. They inherited this gift from their ancestors. The wolves exist only as protection from the vampires and shift back and forth from human to wolf form.

Although, the Twilight legends are fictional, the Quileute Indians are very real and actually do live on a reservation in La Push, Washington. I invite you to learn more about Quileute Nation and even plan a trip to this beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest.
