Each of the four days of the High Sierra Music Festival features some of the most famous jazz, bluegrass, newgrass, funk, and root rock artists in, and out, of the country. Artists featured in past festivals have included The Black Crowes, Nickel Creek, Bruce Hornsby, and The Slip, just to name a few.

Every year when summer rolls around and the kids are out of school, parents are looking for something fun for the whole family to do for their yearly vacation.

The Art Collection featured in the Plumas County Museum has an eclectic selection of historic pieces that showcase local scenes and artists.

One of the most interesting areas in the museum is the Exhibit Yard. Filled with equipment and tools used on a large and small scale in gold mining in Plumas County, it's fun and interesting to see. The minor's cabin, working blacksmith shop, and other artifacts make this open-air exhibit a pleasant and educational experience.

The artifacts, clothes, and other items in the Chinese Collection honor the contribution that the Chinese community has made to the Plumas County area.
