I give you a famous first line, you tell me which book it's from

Some say the book is dead, I say NO - NEVER! I've always loved books and reading and don't consider one moment spent reading a waste of time. This quiz should challenge even those of you who consider yourself to be a true reader and book-lover. For all that, the books mentioned are quite likely to be ones you studied in school or read for your own pleasure before the Internet got hold of you!

So, do you know your Asimov from your Arthur C. Clarke and your George Orwell from your Ernest Hemingway? Literary genius or should be in the corner with the dunce's hat on?
