I got 100%! Three years of reading about the Tudors at university must have paid off.
  • reasonablerobinson Mar 24, 2012 @ 8:10 am | delete
great quiz but I wasn't too knowledgeable
  • IanMayfield Mar 8, 2012 @ 9:57 pm | delete
I got 9 out of 10. Didn't know who the "rose without a thorn" referred to. I grew up not far from the Boleyn family home of Hever Castle, which is one of my favourite places. Well worth a visit if you're ever in the area.

70%--- I watched the BBC production back in the 70's. Guess I forgot a lot. Nice lens.

9 out of 10, and proud of it; great quiz. How about one on his kids?
  • COUNTRYLUTHIER Feb 5, 2012 @ 6:47 pm | delete
Some things are better left unlearned. Henry probably got what was due him.
  • Inkhand Feb 1, 2012 @ 3:32 am | delete
That was fun, but Henry VIII was definitely a womanizer.
  • compugraphd Jan 31, 2012 @ 4:04 am | delete
    B"H

I didn't know the "rose without a thorn" question -- isn't it ironic that that was what he called her????? IIRC, she was executed for having an affair.
  • MaxReily Jan 31, 2012 @ 6:50 pm | delete
Very ironic. I think by that time he was a more of a besotted old man than a mighty king.

Great quiz, the Tudor series compelled me about this royal family and I am always happy to learn more.

I would have thought that I had done better since my favourite writer is Philippa Gregory and she always includes a lot of history in the back of her books but will have to come back and have another go

Fun questions and informative lens ... nicely done!

Cute quiz! I have a novel about Henry VIII coming out soon. It is a humorous spin. If you like Tudor humor, check out the preview blog. http://annboleyn.sixofone.biz/
  • MaxReily Nov 17, 2011 @ 12:10 pm | delete
Thanks! I did check out your blog--great! And I found some other very interesting sites from there about the Tudors, and Anne Boleyn that I bookmarked, too..
  • momsfunny Nov 13, 2011 @ 10:30 am | delete
3/10 loved the quiz it made me smile and i tried to imagine Henry viii in today's world. I think he could not cut it as the modern lady is independent and aware of her rights. Great job!!
  • theminuette Oct 27, 2011 @ 6:04 pm | delete
I failed completely, too, but I had fun.
  • LoKackl Sep 13, 2011 @ 8:22 am | delete
Fun! I failed completely. But, maybe now i'll remember a few of Henry's six wives!!

I kinda sucked at this - glad to have learned from my failure though. Great lens and fun to visit. Googled +1'd too.

Thanks--from most comments, it's a pretty hard quiz.
  • squidoopets Aug 21, 2011 @ 11:59 pm | delete
I did not do too well on the quiz :)
  • MaxReily Sep 3, 2011 @ 7:55 pm | delete
It's hard to keep all those wives in order!
  • awakeningwellness Aug 21, 2011 @ 10:59 pm | delete
100% Yeah! I have always been interested in the Tudors but it has been awhile since I have read anything about them so I didn't expect to do so well. :)
  • MaxReily Sep 3, 2011 @ 7:56 pm | delete
Great job--it helps if you're a big fan of Tudor history!

Henry is silly..why did he marry so many women thus making the quiz harder for me haha =]
  • tvyps Apr 27, 2011 @ 1:09 pm | delete
I would've passed! I loved the Tudors, took a college course based strictly on them, very interesting bunch of peeps! The Stuarts are actually more boring, probably why I am a direct descendant, ha! To remember his wives and what happened to them, I learned..."Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived". Nice lens!
  • tssfacts Apr 26, 2011 @ 11:56 am | delete
Back to world history for me. Great quiz I did learn some new facts.
  • lou16 Apr 1, 2011 @ 4:04 am | delete
9/10 so not bad - I was only guessing with the question I got wrong so.....I hadn't heard of the 'rose with no thorn' nickname.
  • skiesgreen Mar 27, 2011 @ 6:30 pm | delete
80% right is not bad and I loved the quiz, shapens my old mind, Thumbs up
  • Tipi Mar 20, 2011 @ 10:05 pm | delete
I got 80% wrong, I guess I need to watch one of the movies or series again. I loved the one I saw years ago on BBC with Keith Mitchell playing Henry Vlll. Another great quiz to learn by.

I bombed and I expected to, but found it great fun. Blessed by an Angel.

9 out of 10 here, but then I do love this historical era. Thanks for putting together a fun and interesting quiz on King Henry and his wives.
  • prosperity66 Feb 8, 2011 @ 4:59 pm | delete
I took the quiz and, although I'm passionate with the History of France only, I've learnt a little bit about the English history. I got 7/10 at your quiz. Not bad for someone who's not English, didn't studied British history but plans to do so ;)
  • MaxReily Feb 8, 2011 @ 5:06 pm | delete
Not bad at all! Better than most!
  • skiesgreen Jan 3, 2011 @ 5:09 pm | delete
Got 80% but then again it was a long time since I studied History so I consider that not too bad.
  • Lady Kildew Dec 22, 2010 @ 1:37 pm | delete
Well, I got 90%. Not bad, but then I am a student of history. Good quiz-interesting.
  • kelvinator Dec 22, 2010 @ 9:29 am | delete
got 4 right. not bad for me.
  • CDB Dec 22, 2010 @ 9:13 am | delete
Tough quiz, but a good one. Not a history buff, so I didn't do too well!
