Quiz: How much do you know about the New Testament?

Ranked #10,571 in Culture & Society, #215,362 overall

How much do you remember about the New Testament?

It's much shorter than the Old Testament, but there's still plenty to learn. Many people think they know more than they actually do, since they may remember stories they heard in childhood or have gone to church a lot and figured they'd learned most things along the way. Some of you may have read through the Bible once just to have done it, and others may have taken a class in New Testament literature in college. You still might be stumped by some of the questions in this quiz. If so, feel free to look up the answers in your Bible as you go. I'm hoping you all get 100% on this open book quiz.

Guess it's time to congratulate you on your 100th lens, I recently got there too! You caught me again on a couple question and then there was a couple I realized just after I entered were wrong. It's all good!

Just right. I can always learn more about the Bible. Such a beautiful book and just as relevant today as it was when it was written.

I used my husband for one question and should have used it for the one I missed. Great lens, lensrolled it to my Operation Christmas Child and In the Beginning lens.

Need some help understanding the New Testament?

New Testament Introduction (Master Reference Collection)

Amazon Price: $21.95 (as of 06/04/2012)Buy Now

This single volume will answer just about any question you have about the New Testament. It is used as a text in many seminaries, and many Bible scholars consider it the best introduction to the New Testament available today. Published in 1961, it has stood the test of time, but has been revised as new information has been uncovered. If you can afford only one reference book on the New Testament, invest in this one.

Need an inexpensive but reliable New Testament to carry with you?

New American Standard New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs; Blue Imitation Leather

Amazon Price: $4.92 (as of 06/04/2012)Buy Now

Just a bit larger than shirt-pocket size, this is just right for a large pocket, purse or backpack. It weighs only 3.2 ounces, so it won't add a lot of extra weight, but it is still quite readable. The New American Standard translation is probably the most literal English translation available, and this revision has smoothed out some of the awkwardness of the first version. If you care about the literal meaning of the Bible, this is the New Testament to take with you for serious Bible study on the go. And as a bonus, you also get the Psalms and Proverbs.
