Quiz: London - Capital of England and the UK

The next questions are sticky dates.

There are some notable landmarks of London history - here's my 'Top 10'.
You will be given date options for each. All you have to do is to try to select the correct option.

Anyway, you get so many points for this, you can't let it go by.

This is sometimes called 'The Mother of parliaments.

It is possible to arrange a guided tour of the Houses of parliament, in which endless pearls of history and insights are bestowed upon you. You even get to lean on the famous 'Dispatch Box' in the House of Commons!

The architecture alone is a revelation.

To really make your day, if you're fit enough, you can arrange a tour of the Clock Tower, right up to Big Ben (the big bell) in the top gallery. You even get to hear it chime on the hour - with the necessary ear protectors supplied. The views from here are amazing. However, do bear in mind that this visit involves climbing 334 - if you don't make it, there are compensations - if you die on the premises, I believe you are entitled to a State Funeral!

If the lantern at the top of the tower is lit at night, it indicates that the House is sitting.
