Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale of Perry Mason

Perry Mason is a fictional Los Angeles defense lawyer. The Perry Mason character was created by prolific detective fiction writer Erle Stanley Gardner, who was an attorney himself. Paisano Productions produced the original show and it aired on CBS from September 1957 to May 1966. Raymond Burr portrayed Perry Mason, America's favorite television lawyer. Barbara Hale played his Girl Friday, the beautiful and resourceful Della Street.

The Perry Mason series was set in Los Angeles, California, and real-life street names and locations were frequently used. The shows featured establishing shots of several well-known buildings, including the Los Angeles City Hall, the Los Angeles County Court House, and the Hall of Justice building. All of these buildings are still standing, though the Hall of Justice is being converted to condos.

Fans of the Perry Mason television series are invited to participate in a quick, ten-question quiz. Which beauty queen guest star portrayed a murderer? What was Della Street's nickname? Which Star Trek actor did not appear in a guest role on the Perry Mason television show? By the way ... as it turns out, this is not an easy quiz. It's not meant to be taken seriously! Murder is usually very simple. It's the getting away with it that's real complicated and tricky.
