Quiz: Our Solar System

Ranked #10,852 in Education, #244,237 overall

How good is your knowledge of our Solar System, in which we exist?

This quiz has been completely re-written (April 2011), except for the 'Moons' section, which means that you can come and do it again (even if you've visited before), and more questions added for masses of SquidPoints!

Pit yourself against these questions, to see if you really do know your stuff or whether you are just floating in Space. It's more fun if you don't look up the answers! Good luck, and have fun. There are polls and a duel. for your amusement, too!

Our Sun is just a star, among so many out there, each with its own 'system'. It won't last for ever (they all self-destruct in the end) but it will comfortably see us out!

I have added 10 mini-quizzes on moon and moon stuff. It may be a bit tougher but then you're worth it! Don't stop answering after the first batch of questions.

This amazing image of The Moon is by Luc Viatour [www.lucnix.be]. Oh to be such a photographer!

I liked it very much. Very interesting. Thank you.

I've always been interested in astronomy. When we realize how tiny our system is compared to the whole universe, when we start to understand that there probably exist millions and millions of planets with life somewhere at the far end of the universe which we'll never be able to reach (except by time travel!), we are bound to embrace an entirely new approach to life.
  • ChrisDay Jun 2, 2011 @ 11:33 pm | delete
Oh yes, we are sooo tiny! (That means so insignificant, too!). However, this planet is our home and we really should be more respectful of it and grateful for it.
