About Quolls
With the largest species about the size of a cat, these Australian marsupials are sometimes called "native cats." They somewhat look like a spotted ferret or small possum.Throughout their range in Australia and Tasmania, they are considered a protected or endangered species. There are four varieties of quoll and all are threatened by land development and imported predators, such as the fox.
Quolls are primarily nocturnal and have become scavengers in places where they live near human garbage cans.
