Do you want to find out more about the USPS R2-D2 mailboxes and commemorative "Star Wars" 41-cent stamps?

On March 15, 2007; the U.S. Postal Service and Lucasfilm Ltd. announced that 400 mailboxes nationwide would be decorated as "R2-D2" from the mega-popular "Star Wars" movie series.  The redressing of these mailboxes is related to a promotion that was later announced on March 28th regarding a set of 15 41-cent U.S. postage stamps featuring "Star Wars" characters that were issued on May 25, 2007.  These stamps commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of the original "Star Wars" film.

We actually have one of the mailboxes here in Downtown Chicago-Unfortunately, I was deep into preparing my first novel for release and did not pay attention to anything beyond my own navel at that time.

thanks for this.
