House rabbit is a kind of rabbit which stays in the house with the owner. It has "house in the house" or comfortable room to run and play, such as : TV or family room. It main food consists of unlimited amount of grass (fresh or dry), little pellet, fresh vegetable, and fruits.

House rabbit is calmly quiet pet. It's suitable to be had by family who hasn't children because they will scare and endanger rabbit with loud sound or hold without carefully.

Well, house rabbit is an attractive pet. It's the 3rd pet almost cared by people in the world. It can be trained to pee or poop, use harness, and do any moves. With the relationship between the owner and rabbit, rabbit will trust you and make training program becomes easier.

Train to come when called

Training house rabbit to come when called, the first thing that you must be done, is giving name to rabbit.

Choosing a name for rabbit is the most important step. A "harder" name such as: Jack is better than "soft" name, such as: John. Rabbit will be easily understood if having "hard" sound name. Whereas, a short name, such as: "bow" or "snow", is easily understood by rabbit. However, name like: bow or snow is heard as similar as word "No", so avoid to use those names or any names heard as similar as an order word.

After has given a name to rabbit, you can train rabbit to come. ("...Actually, it is very useful if rabbit had been gone, so the best and fastest way to find it is calling its name...")

Actually, ways to train rabbit are similar to dog training. Besides that, always calls it name when you put out rabbit from a cage every day. Rabbit usually interprets a name calling as food gift or play with the owner. Well, if rabbit is coming to you when called, don't forget to give a reward.

Train NO word order

Commonly, when we're train order "NO" to the pet, you will do anything, such as: hand clap. It doesn't a good thing to the rabbit training because only making rabbit scares and runs far away from you.

After you has said an order word "No", as soon as possible, you must move rabbit to the place or posture it body with carefully and rightfully and then give a reward. Do it repeatedly until rabbit understands this order. Actually, rabbit has "a secret stuff", called selective heard. It means that rabbit will hear your words only when on the mood, so choose the best time to give an order word.

Train to pee and poop

Actually, there are any people who don%u2019t know that rabbit can be trained to pee and poop at the right place.

A cat sand box is suitable to mature rabbit, whereas a hospital urinal pot is suitable to little rabbit. You can buy it at the pet shop or supermarket. How about the content of it? you can use cat litter, hamster shaving, sand, or grass as a floor, but the best content is grass because rabbit likes graze, pee, and poop in this place. Besides that, grass is easily found and low on price.

The first step is placing rabbit in the small cage which inside of it has been put a sand box and had been previously filled. We can place a sandbox in the corner of cage that had been chosen by rabbit to pee. It's possible if rabbit directly uses sand box or chooses the other places as a toilet.

If rabbit has done "this activity", we can place a sand box to the place chosen by rabbit. It's better to add one more sand box, so both of those places are closed. When rabbit had adapted to the sand box usage, you could allow it outing to the small area. Next day, let a cage door be opened when a sand box was placed.

A failure always happens when we train rabbit, but don't punish rabbit. When rabbit was doing any mistake steps, we could take it up calmly and softly and then place it in the sand box as soon as possible. The main key is placing rabbit to the sand box before pee or poop. Placing rabbit to the sand box once time for every 10-15 minutes during playtime is helping you to train it.

Rabbit will learn to use sand box, so we can add more time to play. Maybe, you need to add more sand box when you allow rabbit to gain access in the wider place. If rabbit is frequently choosing a part of it room to pee and poop, you must decide to place a sand box at there. Someday, when rabbit skill to use sand box is decreased, as soon as possible, try to re-start training from the early time.

Train rabbit to sit and stand up

Don't be surprised if rabbit can be trained to sit and stand as like as dog training. Sit is a normal position. It means that you can train it easily, at least, to get snack as a reward.

The first step is holding rabbit snack in front of it. When rabbit is seeing or smelling a snack, you can try to move your hand upwardly. Rabbit will move head and body upwardly to get snack. When you're moving snack, use a word order "sit", "sit down", or "sit pretty". If rabbit is sitting down, you can give a reward as soon as possible.

Stand up is a normal position. Ways of sit and stand up are similar to the sit training. You can give the other order words to stand up, for example: "stand up", "up" etc. Besides that, entice rabbit with a snack until doing stand position. Don't forget to give a reward.

Commonly, this training will spend for more about two weeks to two months to make rabbit can be ordered to sit down or stand up without any rewards. If there any little notices, rabbit must be trained for about 3 times a day".

Wait a minute..Drink your coffee and enjoy your snack

Let see many little works for beloved rabbit
