Store Stuffed Animals in a Bunny Hutch

What can you do with all the stuffed animals? My kids seem to accumulate more and more stuffed animals throughout the year. Teddy Bears at Christmas, Birds from Zoos and Museums Gift Shops and rabbits at Easter. Where can you store all these stuffed animals? How do you get your child to pick up all the stuffed animals?

This year we have been studying habitats and we decided to create a stuffed animal storage habitat in the children's room. We hung a hammock for the birds, placed a Cat Scratching Post in the corner for a hollow tree for the squirrels and a bunny burrow tent for the wild stuffed rabbits. Then my youngest said that her bunnies were pets.

We talked about it for a while and decided to find a bunny hutch for the domestic rabbits in the collection. Come visit our stuffed animal storage for bunny pets...

Rabbit Hutch for your Stuffed Rabbits

Rabbit Hutch for Stuffed Easter Bunnies

Despite the fact that this tent is promoted as a sheriff's office, my animal loving daughter instantly saw it's potential as a rabbit hutch for her ever growing collection of stuffed rabbits. She says that it looks just like a rabbit hutch. It's a wonder place not only to store all those rabbits but can become a reading nook for reading to the rabbits as well.

Do Rabbits belong up in the air?

Hammocks for Toy Storage are great for the Birds!

Hammocks are wonderful for storing all your plush squirrels, chipmunks and birds but rabbits don't live up in the air or even in a tree. You can help your child learn about habitats and farm life by creating storage spaces that divide your child's stuffed animals into logical living spaces. Paint a tree in the corner of your child's room and use this hammock for all the stuffed birds. A Kitty house would work for the squirrels and chipmunks but for your Easter Bunnies, give them a hutch or Stuffed Rabbit Bunny Burrow Tent.

Rabbits, Rabbits, Everywhere

A story of rabbit population growth from a mathematical perspective

From my children's fascination with stuffed rabbits developed a love of learning related to rabbits. We learned about domesticated rabbits and rabbits in the wild.

We read stories of rabbits and then became curious to see if we could learn about the mathematics of rabbits. That is when we discovered the Fibonacci Numbers.

Learn how Fibonacci took the common knowledge of the ability of rabbits to reproduce quickly and applied it to a mathematical sequence in order to create what became known as the Fibonacci Numbers.

My children love to take this book into the Bunny Hutch and read it to their ever increasing number of Stuffed Bunnies.

Rabbit Hutch Night Stand

Rabbit Hutch Stuffed Animal Night Stand Storage

Recently I discovered a night stand that resembles a rabbit hutch. We removed the shelf so that rabbits could hop right into the opening and tumble down into their nest below. Toddlers love to put things into slots and are delighted to pick up their toys by shoving them into the open slot. They delight in opening up the door to find that the bunnies are hiding there.

What I like about this storage solution is that your room can look like a bedroom while still holding lots of toys for toddlers.

Bunny Hutch Night Stand with Opening

Here is another delightful option for storing your stuffed rabbits. The opening in the front invites children to hide the bunnies after a day of play.

Very cute idea to store your stuffed bunnies in a rabbit hutch! I prefer the net that hangs in the corner...vertical storage is a huge asset in a house with 5 kids! :)

I have no little kids now, but the problem in my house lies with all the Beanie Babies dogs I collected years ago. Now I have nowhere to put them, and they are not selling well on eBay! So while you offer great suggestions for the children's beloved stuffed toys, what the heck does an old lady do? hahaha! Love your lens.

Very cool lens! When I was young I love collecting tiny stuffed animals. My grandma made me a a thing to hang on my wall that had about 30 pockets sewn on it, each of my stuffed animals nestled safely in their own pocket. My favorite stuffed animal? A rabbit named Rabbitno (pretty original huh?) I still have him.

Very clever use for a play tent for stuffed bunny rabbits storage and play. That's 'thinking outside the tent... err, box'! You do come up with some interesting ideas for teaching children in a 'playful' way. Having fun while learning is the best!

Love it! How true, the stuffed rabbits belong in a hutch not in a burrow because they're pets!
