Rachel Stribbling is a young artist from the UK who is quickly making a name for herself in the art world with her beautiful animal paintings.
"I was born in Preston, in the North West of England in 1985. My dad, David, has been a wildlife artist for over 20 years which sparked my interest in the subject. My first foray into wildlife art was with pencil drawings. I liked the immediacy of pencil and began drawing seriously in 2004 and then refined and honed my technique, always striving to capture the character of my subjects in the most accurate and expressive way."

A Flair For Detail
In 2006 Rachel began painting using traditional oil paints on canvas. Incorporating everything she had learned as a pencil artist as well as learning and applying new skills along the way.
Rachel has now drawn and painted a variety of different animals from hamsters to hippos. Each piece requires a slightly different approach and she relishes the challenge with each, whether it's creating the softness of a leopard cub's fur or the rough texture of a rhino's hide.
