Radio controlled boats come in many styles. There are the V hull, pontoon hull and hydroplane hull. All of these radio controlled boats also come either as electric models, gas or nitro powered. This allows for a lot of latitude in choosing your niche.

Once the electric boats were seen as mere toys. Now with the high powered brushless motors they can rival gas and nitro radio controlled boats for speed and power.

For the more aesthetic there is the radio controlled sailboat. These sailboats require all the skills necessary in regular sailing. The only difference is that you are not on the boat but at the radio control.
