Radio City Music Hall in New York City
Radio City Music Hall
A Brief History
John D. Rockefeller, Jr. had originally planned to make this site the new home for the Metropolitan Opera but after the stock market crash in the late 1920's the Opera company withdrew from the original plans. After that, Mr. Rockefeller, David Sarnoff, and Samuel Roxy Rothafel had taken the new project under their arms. The Radio City Music Hall in New York opened their doors in December of 1932 and has since become an attraction bringing in more than 300 million people to witness live entertainment in a venue that demands attention.
