RAFTING SLIM RIVER | White-water Rafting From Kuala Lumpur

Let's Raft It Out! It's a Fantastic River at an Ideal Location! Located a mere 1 hour 30 minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur to the village of Kampung Ulu Slim. Sungai Slim (Slim River) offers the an exciting challenge for White-Water Rafting. This river boasts a cascading rapids of Grade 1 - Grade 3. This river is suitable for beginners and experienced rafters.

ITINERARY
0745HRS Pick-up from KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur by your Adventure Host and proceed to Slim River which is a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur.

0915HRS Arrive Kampung Ulu Slim. Proceed to the Put-In Point at Kuala Tibang on an off-road journey by 4WD. It will be a 40-minute travel there (depending on track condition).

0950HRS Allocation of all rafting equipments (Helmet/PFD/Paddles), followed by a detailed briefing on safety and procedures of White-Water Rafting. Rafters will be divided into groups with a maximum of 6 persons per raft.

1030HRS The adventure begins! The run will take about 2.5 hours - 3 hours depending on group size and water volume.

1300HRS (Approx) Arrival at the "Take Out" point at Kampung Pos Berseh. From here rafters will be transferred back by 4WD to our basecamp at Kampung Ulu Slim (a 10 minute journey). Shower & lunch at the basecamp.

1400HRS Depart for Kuala Lumpur

[1] You will be entering a pristine jungle setting - no maddening crowds
[2] Our basecamp is located next to a natural hotspring in Ulu Slim
[3] 4WD transport to take you to the put-in point. An Indiana Jones styled adventure in itself!
[4] Passing through some Orang Asli villages enroute
[5] Body surfing on some safe parts of the rapids
[6] Hydraulics will toss your raft as though you are in the spin cycle of a washing machine
[7] More NEW friends to add onto your Facebook
[8] Plenty of durian, mangosteen and rambutans to enjoy during the fruit season

[1] Kuala Lumpur to Tanjung Malim - 1 hr drive
[2] Tangung Malim to Ulu Slim - 40 min drive
[3] Ulu Slim to Put-in Point - 40 min by 4WD / transport provided
[4] Safety briefing will be conducted prior to rafting
[5] Rafting will take between 2 - 2.5 hours
[6] Rafting will be on a 7km stretch of the river - over 20 rapids and numerous channels
[7] 2 river guides to a raft
[8] 5-6 rafters to a raft
[9] Best to come already in your rafting attire - eg. t-shirt & shorts
[10] Natural flowing river - no DAM to regulate river flow

[1] Meet us at the KL Sentral Station at 7.45am sharp on the day of rafting. From there we will proceed to Kampung Ulu Slim.
[2] Who can raft: 12-60 years of age in good physical health & can walk unassisted.
[3] We welcome non-swimmers and first-timers.
[4] Bring along a change of clothes, towel, soap, shampoo & plastic bag for your wet clothes
[5] All rafters must wear river sandals, shoes or booties - strictly no slippers or barefeet
[6] Spectacles must be secured
[7] No denim or jeans on the river
[8] Remove all jewellrys ries and expensive watches
[9] We recommend you bring waterproof or underwater cameras if you want to take photos
