New Jersey area railroad related website links - my best picks

My list of preferred New Jersey historical railroad organizations. Granted there are many many more good organizations in New Jersey that we both may be aware of. The links on this Lens site are based on my personal opinion. So, I am not necessarily trying to mean this is by any means a complete list.

Quite often I have found that most railroad historical organizations fail to publicize themselves outside of their local inner realm. A secondary reason for creating this Lens was to let any potential new railfans know of them to get involved in these organizations. In these organizations many have people wearing multiple hats, the work they do is in their free time. This leaves them little time to create such things as lens, press releases and web link requests.

One of the 'techie' things I have been 'giving back' to the local rail historical groups is helping with their publicity, befriending their webmasters and adding links to their efforts on sites I control. Not having enough free time to be at all their meetings I find this a good compromise as in some groups the average age is over 50!
