The Legend Of Rainbow Bridge
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

- I've lost a dog that was a dear member of our family. She was a mongrel called Ellie, with great personality and always greeted family members. Sadly some kind of cancer took her away. She had very distinct wire hairs, white at each end and dark in the middle.

- We lost our beloved cat, Micki, in June 2011. I am sure that she is a queen at Rainbow Bridge as she was in her home here. She is dearly loved and missed.

- When I lived with my parents, we had two dogs- a Rough Collie called Rum, and a sheltie collie called Cindy. They were both 16 when they passed away, miss them even now, more than six years on!
Now i have two dogs of my own, A staffie called Zeus, who is four, and Dudley, a Jack Russell who is five. They bring me so much happiness, are always pleased to see me, and always know when I'm sad. I wouldn't be without them!

- We have a chocolate lab named Bella and she's just 1 year old. But before her we lost our two dogs: Coco & Murray. Both were beautiful Shepard mixes and were so loved.

- My lensography already showcases lenses that 'tell all' about my first beloved 'furry' children - and there are more to come. We are now down to what may be our last dog - (please don't tell me that!) - and a new cat added to the 'family' just a few weeks ago. Life without furries is no life at all. So glad for this detail of the Rainbow Bridge - I mentioned it in my first doggy lens.

- Pets are considerably more than just animals we acquire into our residences to entertain or amuse us. They eventually turned out to be a element of the spouse and children and also demand and will want absolutely adore, knowing, care, protection and dedication from us despite the fact that not in the same exact degree that us human beings do. Yet, just as it is with people, there comes a time when pets succumb to demise. The induce can be purely natural or accidental and the sad truth of the matter is, no quantity of pampering can exclude and help you save pets from loss of life. pet memorials

- Thank you for this beautiful and emotional lens. I too, have pictured the day I am greeted by ALL my beauties - each one so individual - each one with a most special corner of my heart that is theirs alone - each one creating the need to fill the gap with another love - no more and no less loved - just ANOTHER love.
Lensrolled to my first doggy story - hope you approve.

- When I read Rainbow bridge I always cry as it reminds me of our dogs who have passed on. It probably sounds silly but I often tell our dogs about Rainbow bridge & how they will be greeted when they arrive & who to look for. I know that they don't understand, but you just never know. I try to explain that one day they will take a trip to Rainbow bridge (but I don't mention that it will happen after they pass.
Yeah, I'm probably a bit crazy but our dogs are part of our family & what if they really understood? Until someone can prove it to me that they don't, I'll continue to tell them stories.
