Waits defines Rain Dogs as "...the ones you see wanderin' around after a rain. Ones that can't find their way back home. See the rain washes off the scent off all the mail boxes and the lamposts, fire hydrants."

Tom Wait's latest offering is a set of stranded tracks broken into three CDs. Brawlers - The bawdy rangle jangle blues driven tracks. Bawlers - Sentimental odes and stirring set pieces and Bastards - The chime and clank, the twisted stories and the bellowing in the steam tunnels.

Rain Dogs
In my opinion, the best starting point for getting into the music of Tom Waits. Gritty and dark, it speaks to us rain dogs. The rain washed our 'markings' away and now we can't find our way back home.

Another really good starting point. Has a lot of his true anthems. A slice of the side of America that most music does not even realize exists. Growling melodies for the garbage man. Hope for the carnival worker.
