How to use Raktrak Cards and Random act of kindness ideas.
Of course you don't have to have a card to do something good. Raktrak Cards are just a fun way to see how far your kindness will reach.
RakTrak is a free service that tracks random acts of kindness, using numbered cards to follow paths of kindness as they connect one person to another, and another, and another!
One of the motivating forces behind Raktrak.com is to report on the good causes that are happening to individuals around the world. Today we are surrounded by a media whose cause seems to be to report on all of the bad things that can strike fear in our lives. Yes, we live in a world where both good and bad things are happening every day. People want to look for the good in others and many charitable agencies have used "cause-related" marketing to benefit others. Whenever you attach a cause to your actions, people are interested in helping and being a part of the success of those actions.
Coffee Shop Pay It Back
This is one of my favorite RAK's cause it's easy and cheap.
So you're at your favorite coffee shop... You order your Grande-2 pump Vanilla-Non-Fat-Extra Hot-Latte, wait til they call the fake name you just gave and walk out in the same gray mood you walked in with.Or...
Along with you order, you also get a gift card for an extra $4.00. The cool thing is some of them actually have a nice little holder that they give you for free. So, then you slip your Raktrak Card in the holder with the gift card and give it back to the person taking your money. Ask them to choose someone to give the card to when they order their coffee. You can find a spot to watch anonymously or just leave feeling uplifted knowing you have brought a spark of joy to someone's day.
(Of course you can do this without the card and the outcome will be the same. The card is just for fun. It also might inspire them to continue with an act of kindness of their own.)

- Kudos to you on your Random Acts effort. My wife and I have been doing RAK for many years and we're glad you are providing an organized effort to promote this. I am a Twitter power user (@ptaylor98) and I often use Twitter to provide info and assistance to random people I meet. Good luck on your effort!
