Rancho RS5000 Shocks

The Rancho RS5000 shock is Rancho's entry-level shock absorber. The RS5000 shock is a general-purpose shock. It's often installed in lieu of OE shocks for vehicles with worn out factory shocks or upgraded suspensions. It's also recommended for budget-minded consumers. The RS5000 shock is suited for use on the street to mild off-road driving. The ride quality of the RS5000 can be bumpier than what a vehicle's factory shocks provided because firm shocks are ideal for off-road driving and this comes at the sacrifice of some street comfort.

Rancho RSX Shocks

A Description of the Rancho RSX

The Rancho RSX shock is an upgrade from the RS5000 shock. The RSX employs an automatic "impact-sensing" valve. This valve opens and closes depending on how quickly the shock's piston is forced in or out. The RSX shock is suited for use on the street to aggressive off-road driving. RSX shocks are not a "one size fits all" type of shock. Each shock is engineered specifically for the vehicle for which it will be installed. This provides optimal performance in concert with the vehicle's weight.

Rancho RS9000XL Shocks

A Description of the Rancho RS9000Xl

The Rancho RS9000XL is an upgrade from RSX shock. The RS9000XL shock features a manually-tuned valve. This gives the driver 100% control of the firmness of the shock's piston movement. The RS9000XL shock is suited for use on the street to extreme off-road. Ride quality can be set soft for highway driving, medium for city/urban driving, and firm for off-road driving and towing. With nine different valve settings, a quality ride can be had by any driver (or their passengers). In addition to manual tuning, an auxiliary wireless remote control is available that allows the shocks to be adjusted at the push of a button while the vehicle is parked or in motion. The RS9000XL was engineered with full-size trucks in mind so in addition to the typical 2-1/8" and 2-3/8" body diameters found on most shocks, the RS9000XL is also available with a 2-3/4" body for select full-size applications.
