Most famous for helping to launch Ozzy Osbourne's solo career, his brief catalogue of music continues to influence guitar players to this day. - My comment is that I drove past Musonia last month for the first time while in SoCal on business. While I didn't go inside, it was neat to see how it's just off a very busy street that leads into a quiet neighborhood. A nice contrast.

March 19th Anniversary
Randy Rhoads died on March 19th, 1982. More than two decades later fans joined by Rhoads family members gather on that day at his final resting place at the Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino. It's surprising to some that a young guitar player who only recorded some 20 widely released songs still stokes enough interest to draw many fans every year, some from around the world. These fans are also a mix of old stalwarts or younger fans who were born years after he died.
Flowers come from around the world including Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and a yearly project from Japan to construct flowers in the shape of one of his guitars.
March 19th, 2007 will mark the 25th Anniversary of his tragic passing. Make your reservations to join the remembrance.
Distinctive Guitars
Randy Rhoads' distinctive guitars have become a part of his indelible image. These included an off-white Les Paul Custom (which are not highly sought in the aftermarket as the Randy Rhoads Les Paul), a polka-dotted Flying V custom built by Karl Sandoval and the distinctive offset V built by Grover Jackson which Randy designed. He used two, a white pinstripe and a black with gold hardware. Most recently, the white offset V was placed on display at the CSU Northridge Library as part of a guitar exhibit.
