I am Tamara Robinson a young black girl at Mt. Hope School in Al. My school means alot to me and they are in need of some lockers instead of wooden benches. For 13 years i have attended Mt.Hope as the only black in my class. I have come along way in life made possible by my teachers and coaches. I am going to college on a scholarship. They helped me when i was bad by caring about me and encouraging me to be somebody. They saw a bright future for me. I am now realizing it with my oppurtunity to go to college. Prejudice was never an issue with my classmates nor teachers. I would like to leave something to my school to show my appreciation for there love, support and refusing to let me fail. why I'm writing you today? I need HELP in paying for my granddaughter's tuition for school. I am Bobbi's guardian. Bobbi(my granddaughter) was accepted to the Professional School for Children in New York City. (Bobbi is studying the Arts at the Harlem School of the Arts, there she studies: private Piano, guitar, and Voice lessons, Bobbi also studies Ballet, Modern, West African dance and Hip-hop at HSA... at TAG she studies the Saxophone).

The tuition at the PCS is a little over $28,000 dollars for the 2008-2009 school years. The school is willing to pay 50% of the tuition meaning I will have to pay the balance...from $14,000 - $15,000 Bobbi is entering into the 7th grade. At the present time Bobbi is attending The Talented and Gifted School for Scholarly Students in NYC.

I work for the Department of Education as a part-time school aide, MY annual salary is less then $23,000 per year. Bobbi's mother has not had a steady job for a while now. I have been nurturing Bobbi for about four and a half years.

Whatever help your organization can/will help me with financially WILL be greatly appreciated. I can not afford to pay 50% of the tuition. My granddaughter is doing very good in school she is an A - B student.

Bobbi deserves the best education available. I am very proud of Bobbi getting accepted in the Professional Children School.

Bobbi is a young Aspiring Actress who will benefit from the expert education offered at PCS. This school caters to young actors and athletes and musicians.

I am a senior citizen born 041044; I spend all of my resources on my grand children and am enjoying every minute of it. I am trying my best to give my granddaughters the best education possible, now I need help in accomplishing this.

I am a 40 year old mother of three. I have no education. I dropped out in 8th grade but did recieve my GED in 1997. I have over a year of sobriety now and want SO MUCH to turn my life around. I would very much like to attend the community college in my area but cannot afford it or the day care. I do live with the father of my daughters but as for him helping me, it's not very likely. My wish is to be able to go to school, get an education and a good career afterwards to better support MYSELF and my CHILDREN and get out of the situation I am in.
