What it Means to be a Christian in the End Times

Christianity isn't a "feeling" or "something to be". It's a way of life. It is giving your life over to God who sacrificed His only Son so that we might not perish. Being a Christian means to have faith and believe without actually seeing.

It is written in the Bible that Jesus will come back and Rapture (take up) His Church in the last days, sometime near the end of the Great Tribulation. Will you be ready?

Are We in the End Times - Also Known as End of Days?

Many of you believe that a person can choose his or her own destiny; but if God has chosen you, then how can you choose anything or anyone BUT God? Satan is running rampant on this earth, but the real battlefield is actually in your own mind. I am not saying that you are loosing it, or that you are imagining things, I am just saying that it is in your mind where Satan attacks you and takes you down. It is the battle between good and evil, and it is actually in your mind where the struggle begins. Evangelist Joyce Meyer couldn't have said it better, "Are you a POW in the region of your mind? The mind is a battlefield where our war with Satan is either won or lost". It says in Ephesians (6:12 NLT): "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places".

With so much evil happening widespread in the world today, I can see that the End Times are already upon us. And, it seems that even for those of you in denial, you really need to wake up because your final destination is not all that far off. Actually, right now is the time for you to take control of your own destiny. It is written in the book of Matthew:

Matthew 24:4-14 (New Living Translation)

4 Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, `I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray. 6 And wars will break out near and far, but don't panic. Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately. 7 The nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.

9 "Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because of your allegiance to me. 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will lead many people astray. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But those who endure to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come.

Are You Ready?

Do you know what The Rapture is? Christ coming back to take up His Church is mentioned in the Bible a few times. However, the word "Rapture" is not used in the Bible. Here is the dictionary's definition of the word RAPTURE:

* The carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence.
* The Rapture, Theology. the experience, anticipated by some fundamentalist Christians, of meeting Christ midway in the air upon his return to earth.
* Archaic. The act of carrying off

The Bible warns us that Jesus will return like a Thief in the Night:
1 Thessalonian 5:1-3 (New International Version):
1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

You see, it is written that no one knows the day or the time that our Lord Jesus will come back to take up His Church. Wouldn't you want you and your loved ones to be ready? Whether it is in this lifetime or not? If you are a believer in Christ and you do not share the Good News with your loved ones, they may never fully understand what is at stake by not accepting Jesus into their lives. Why take that risk? Do you understand the risk of not accepting the Gift of Salvation? I will tell you: "YOU RUN AN ETERNAL RISK OF BEING SEPARATED FROM GOD FOREVER."

One day, the love of many will grow cold and it will be close to impossible for them to accept the love of Christ. Once the Great Tribulation begins, many believers will turn from their faith because of the harshness of this world. Can you imagine, that if it will be a challenge for the Christians to remain in faith, how much harder it will be for those who have no faith? Won't you start now to teach your loved ones about God and the love of Jesus, before it is too late?

There at least 3 places that I know of that describes The Rapture:

Matthew 24:26-27 (New International Version)
26 "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

Matthew 24:39-42 (New International Version)
39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

1 Corinthians 15:51-57 (New International Version)
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." 55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death is your sting?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

666 - The Mark of The Beast 

Biochip Implants

In the Book of Revelations (the last book of the Bible) it is written that the Antichrist will deceive many people and force them to receive the mark of the beast on their right hand or forehead. It is amazing that for several years now we have heard about a Biochip that would be used as implants in humans. Yet, skeptical, non-believers made such a fuss about how it was indeed an urban legend, and in no way based upon fact, that the world has become desensitized by any reports of the Biochip actually being developed at this very moment in time. Satan is a very subtle creature - he has a tendency to creep in and let people get all hot under the collar about something he is doing and then slowly molds their thoughts, causing them to dismiss any hearsay about what he is "actually" doing. Yes, I know that sounds a bit bizarre and far-fetched, and if I wasn't a believer, I would actually laugh at myself. But believe me, this really isn't a joking matter. Technology has advanced immensly in the past 20 years, but the world no longer pays attention to that. Like I said before, people have been desensitized. Do you think that it is God's doing? No, it is the work of Satan.

He ordered the people to make a great statue of the first beast, who was fatally wounded and then came back to life. 15 He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die.

16 He required everyone-small and great, rich and poor, free and slave-to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. 17 And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name. 18 Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.(Rev. 13:11-18).

That microchip is given an ID number, that when scanned, will provide the patient's medical information that has been loaded into a database. This will allow a medical team to access the information in order to treat the patient, which will also provide them with the medications that the patient is taking. How subtle is Satan? VERY SUBTLE. He will make the world believe this technology is for the good of mankind and that it is our responsibility to accept it at some point in time. I can only pray that the multitudes are not fooled into taking such a drastic step away from God...

When the shattering of the holy people has finally come to an end, all these things will have happened."

8 I heard what he said, but I did not understand what he meant. So I asked, "How will all this finally end, my lord?"

9 But he said, "Go now, Daniel, for what I have said is kept secret and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.

11 "From the time the daily sacrifice is stopped and the sacrilegious object that causes desecration is set up to be worshiped, there will be 1,290 days. 12 And blessed are those who wait and remain until the end of the 1,335 days!

13 "As for you, go your way until the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days, you will rise again to receive the inheritance set aside for you."

Left Behind - The Book Series and The Movie Series 

The Left Behind Series began as a book and was published in 1995. The authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins took their interpretation of the End Times and brought it to life. Although this series is fictional, it does, however, help one to understand scripture.

This series provides and indepth view of a pre-tribulation rapture. However, scripture leads us to believe that Christ's Church will not be spared from the Great Tribulation. As much as I would like to believe that my Lord is coming before the destructive events that take place during the tribulation, scripture tells us differently. Don't be deceived my friends.

Anyway, if you can keep the "truth" in mind while reading this great "fictional" series, you will truly be captivated by the authors' writings.

Reading Scripture... 

I have been told time and time again that in order to fully understand God, I need to read scripture from the bible. If you are anything like me, you will find 10 million other things to do than to literally sit down and read your bible. Don't get me wrong, I am not talking blasphemy here. I am just being realistic. In fact, I am offering up to you a solution... You see, I am a computer geek. If you were to meet me on the street, you wouldn't think I was, so maybe I am a "closet" computer geek. Anyway, being a computer savvy kinda gal, I really don't mind reading what I see on my computer... so here is what I do instead of picking up my bible and reading it: I think about a topic that I am curious about, something to do with God. Then I go on a quest on
Bible Gateway and do a word search to find scripture in the bible to answer my questions. Usually my intention is to do a quick search and be done with it, but then I end up reading more than anticipated, with most of my questions fully answered. Pretty awesome, huh? Try it, you might like it. Please read the following scripture from the book of Romans:

Romans 10:14-18 (New Living Translation)
14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

16 But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, "Lord, who has believed our message?"17 Yet faith comes from listening to this message of good news--the Good News about Christ.

18 But what about the Jews? Have they actually heard the message? Yes, they have:
"The message of God's creation has gone out to everyone, and its words to all the world."

Another way of learning scripture is to purchase the Bible on CD. I have the New Testament on CD (New Living Translation). It is narrated quite well and easy to understand. Well that's all for now.............

God is LOVE. 

The Bible Says in John 4:8-12 That God Truly is Love.

Christianity is not a "feeling", it is not "something to be" - it is a way of life. It is giving your life over to our Maker who sacrificed His own Son so that we might not perish. God literally is LOVE. Imagine a world if you removed Love from it. Removing Love, is removing God. To be in Hell is to be "Separated from God - with Love no longer in existence". Just think about it, seriously. That is why this Lens is in existence, to show you a way to no longer worry about perishing in the end, but to remain in God's Grace and His Love. I am not a fanatic; I am a realist. So let's all get real. Please read the following scripture from the book of John:

John 4:8-12 (New Living Translation)
8 But anyone who does not love does not know God--for God is love.

9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.

"Having Faith" 

Belief that is not based upon proof...

It is sometimes hard to believe in something you cannot see. But if you can just get past the idea that you have to "see to believe", you could open up a whole new universe for yourself. Believing in Christ comes from within. It is based upon knowing that Jesus lives, without actually seeing him.

Here is the dictionary's definition of FAITH:
"Belief that is not based on proof."

Scripture from the Book of Romans:
Romans 1:16-18 (New Living Translation)
16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes--Jews first and also Gentiles. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."

Obedience, Not Sacrifice... 

God Does Not Want to Punish You - He Just Expects You to be Obedient to His Word

What does God really want from us? With all the troubles in the world today, it seems He wants us to sacrifice everything we have in order to follow Him. But that isn't necessarily true. Sacrifice doesn't always have to be painful, when it comes in the form of obedience. God does not want for us to do without, as he would love to give us everything we wanted; as long as He feels we can handle it; and it is for the benefit of His Kingdom. But like children, we must come before our Father; and before He can reward us, He needs to know that we have been obedient to what He has asked of us. If we aren't obedient, then why do we need to be rewarded? Think about it!

9 "And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.

11 "You fathers--if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not!
