Losing weight on a raw food diet is incredibly easy. In fact, if you stick to a raw food diet it's almost impossible to gain weight, and extremely easy to lose weight!
I was able to lose weight very easily on the raw food diet. I used to weigh 190 pounds and I felt miserable. I was sick, and I was even diagnosed with cervial cancer at the young age of 19!
I was introduced to the raw food diet by someone I met on public transportation. She was very nice, and she convinced me to look into the diet. She said it would help me lose weight and might even help cure my cancer! At that point, I was willing to try pretty much anything to avoid radiation.
It didn't take long before I started losing weight. Some weeks I only lost a pound or two, but most of the time I was losing 3 to 5 pounds per week! Eventually I was also told that my cancer had gone into complete remission! I can't say 100% for sure that it was the raw food diet that did it, but I'm pretty convinced that it was!
The raw food diet is actually extremely easy to follow. Basically, you just eat raw fruits and vegetables. How easy is that? You can eat as much as you want, pretty much anything you want, as long as it is uncooked fruits or vegetables. Obviously some stuff is higher in calories than other stuff. For example, if you ate large amounts of avocado, coconut, or highly concentrated sweet fruit like raisins or bananas, you might end up gaining weight instead of losing weight! But pretty much anything goes.
I have another lens with a few of my favorite raw food recipes.
This way of eating is actually incredibly easy to follow. Nothing tastes as good to me as a fresh peach, or a ripe strawberry, a slice of crisp, juicy watermelon, or a delicious salsa made of mango, cilantro, and lime juice. Once I got used to it, I didn't even want to think about eating all that nasty processed junk that I used to pig out on before.
