The interesting stuff is in the boundaries. More species live on the edge of the forest that in the forest or in the meadow. That where I like to explore.
For example, while I like coding and content, its is creating new "media" that is the most interesting. It is in these new media that we can tell a new story that other media don't allow because of their limitations.
So I do IT. I read Marshall McLuhan and branding books. I write websites for my personal projects and remodel my house without contractors.

- McLuhan Lens
- First lens I created. McLuhan is my favorite author and can teach us all about technology (media). If more tech leaders were taught McLuhan, we all be better off.
- Sudoku Lens
- Second lens I created and is consistantly in the top 10. Included disclaimner that I also created a Sudoku Games website called AllSudoku.com
- Christmas Beers and Ales
- Third lens which focuses on beer. Wanted to see what would happen with a seasonal lens and explore what was available on the web about Celebration Ale and others.
- Town of Vienna, Virginia Lens
- I live in the town of Vienna, Virginia. The convience is wonderful. A great place to live and Money magazine agrees. Also 4th lens I create.
- Sony Ericsson w600i
- After looking seriously for a new cell phone for over a year, I decided on the new Sony Ericsson w600i. I love it and decided to put all of my research into a lens to share. Fifth lens.
- 2005 Top 10 Lists
- This was fun to put together. Links to the Top 10 List of movies, books, etc. Again a seasonal lens for my Sixth lens.
- Ray Daly (this lens)
- You are already reading my eighth lens, so enjoy.
- Superbowl XL Ads
- My ninth lens was created watching the NFL Championships games in anticipation of watching the Superbowl XL.
- Love Monkey
- I watched the first episode of Love Monkey on my Tivo, saw that there was a web "presence" and decided to to my tenth lens.
- Dave Winer
- I'm a fan of Dave Winer. ThinkTank was a great invention and I believe RSS changes everything. So I read Dave's blog regularly.
Internet and Software Projects
- AllSudoku.com: Sudoku Games and Tools for Beginner or Obsessed
- New Sudoku games every day with lots of tools to help you solve them. (2005)
- Bletter Form
- Bletter is another JavaScript application. Complete the form and it creates a graphic email newsletter, HTML page and RSS file. A revision is needed to AJAX Bletter. (2003)
- HTMLjive
- HTMLjive is an HTML editor written entirely in JavaScript. This was released one month after the first JavaScript browser was released. Hope to issue 10th anniversary edition in Feb. 2006. (1996)
- RGBjive
- Based on Lynda Weinman's and Bruce Heavin's book: <coloring web graphics>, this was a demo to highlight that JavaScript could be used to create a serious web tool. At Lynda's request, never released URL until today - but some people apparently found it.(1997)
- HEMS
- HEMS is my best ColdFusion programming work and yet it uses no databases. A professional content management system used to publish a 10,000 page site. Trying to find the time to convert it to Ruby and release it open source. (2000???)
