The Brand (from raymond-weil.ch): RAYMOND WEIL is one of the only independent Swiss watch companies not to have abandoned its family heritage. Since 1976, three generations have succeeded each other and are working side by side still with the same passion, building the philosophy of a multi-generational company, where the durability and continuity of family values form the foundation for its watchmaking know-how.

Having completed his degree in business studies, Mr Raymond Weil, born in 1926 in Geneva, joined Camy Watch SA, a watch business, where he became General Manager for over twenty years.

In 1976, in the middle of the watch industry crisis, in order to give full expression to his passion for watchmaking, Mr. Raymond Weil decided, to found the brand, which was to bear his own name. While wearing both the senior technical and commercial management hats within the company, he travelled the world, in order to establish firm trading relations with his partners. Very quickly, RAYMOND WEIL Genève became a well-known and prosperous brand, building on a central entity and values, which were important to him: aesthetic, watchmaking know-how, creativity and independence.
