Looking at the Razor Pocket Rocket, some parents may be wondering about its small size. How long before this bike will be outgrown given its high cost? Bear in mind that this is a miniature bike and it is designed to be on the small side, unlike real adult bikes. With a weight limit of 170 lbs, it is obviously a bike meant for teenagers, just like the various models of the Razor dirt bike.

However, the question then becomes how could a teenager fit comfortably onto such a small bike? Yes, if you are a teenager, it may be a tad uncomfortable. But, then again, this bike has a riding time of only 30 minutes. It is not meant for long rides given the size. Many parents in fact buy the Razor Pocket Rocket for their 6 or 7 year olds but you will need to be aware of the risks and safety hazards because it can go quite fast on smooth surfaces. The mitigating factor is it is low with its small size which means any falls carry less risk of a serious injury.

The other major drawback is the riding and charging time. For every 30-minute ride, you will need to charge the bike for 12 hours. This means before your kids have grown tired of riding, it is time to re-charge the battery. It may seem inconvenient, but riding a bike requires concentration. To allow your kids to ride for hours isn't practical either. Moreover, limiting them to just a short ride everyday will also be able to sustain their interest over a longer period of time.

So, is the Razor Pocket Rocket a good buy? Well, the fun and thrill of it are definitely there. Not many riding toys will give kids the excitement of being on the "real" thing. It has its limitations like size and battery life but they hardly take away the enjoyment that kids will have out of it. That is what matters, which is why it is worth a buy for many.
