LeIntrepide Replica Transatlantic Racing RTR RC Sail boat

LeIntrepide was designed in 1990 for the 1991 single handed Mini Transat race. This boat participated in the Mini Transat Race in 1993 which started in Douarnenez, France and ended in Fort De France in the Caribbean. This beautifully reconstructed model features nylon main and jib sails with aluminum booms with the number 48 in black, screened onto each sail Pre-attached weighted keel. this remote-controlled pirate ship has sails that hoist, a retractable plank, and 12 cannons. At the bow of the ship, a jib sail is attached to the bowsprit. A mizzenmast sail is fixed to the boom on the ship's stern, and the main mast has a crow's nest at the top with the traditional Calico Jack Rackam's Jolly Roger flag. All three masts have ratlines that are hand-tied and the sails have polycarbonate inserts that create a "wind blown" look when the ship is mounted on the display stand. RC Laser Rechargeable Batteries


Your boat will sail well with standard drugstore alkaline batteries, AA size. You should get 4-5 hours from one set of 12 batteries. However, if you want to forget about batteries, a rechargeable set of Nickel Metal Hydride batteries will last you many years of hard sailing. This system comes with 8 loose AA NiMH batteries for the transmitter, and a 5-pack (6 volt) of batteries for the boat. In addition, you get a wall trickle charger with two dedicated leads that allows you to charge the batteries in the transmitter and the 5-pack in the boat at the very same time, and you don't even need to take the batteries out to charge them! And the greatest feature of this overnight charger is that it can be left on indefinitely without doing damage to your batteries (never leave connected for more than a month). So plug in when you bring your boat home and leave it until the next time you sail.
