Three days of country music and cowboy fun in Mesquite, the Real. Texas. Festival. includes live country music, a marketplace featuring made-in-Texas arts and crafts, children's activities, Old West shootout re-enactments and a car show. It's three days of real. Texas. fun.
This year's event features a special bull riding event held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the rodeo, as well as an all Mesquite flavor cooking contest, vendors and an all-Texas music jam.
There is also a carnival, a firefighter olympics, kids activities and more.
April 25 from 5 to 11 p.m., April 26 noon to 11 p.m., April 27 noon to 6 p.m. at Resistol Arena and surrounding grounds.
