More than a pint of ale.
This lens brings you some of my favourite ways to use Real Ale in cooking. From the hearty steak and ale pie to homemade mustards there is something to suit everyone.
Cooking with Real Ale
There is a beer to compliment almost every food type. Many Real Ales carry spicy flavours such as nutmeg and ginger, citrus fruit flavours and often chocolate or toffee. Indeed the caramel and roast flavours of many beers are compatible with a much wider range of food types than wines.
