Work At Home Scams - Are These Guys Kidding?

Work at home jobs are highly sought after online. Salaries have not kept up with inflation. Gas and food prices are going up. People are having to cut their spending to make ends meet, and many want to make extra income online. Scammers who market make money products online know this, and it seems that around every corner of the internet is a new make money scam. Still, people do earn extra income online, so not all opportunities can be scams. The obvious question seems to be who can you really trust? If you are looking into earning extra income online, being aware of these three scam warning signs is important. Once you know what to look for, they are quite funny sales tactics and good for a laugh!

Many sites claim you can make money with their information but read carefully. Do they really tell you the details of how it works? Many scam sites repackage the same information in different ways. A legitimate site will tell you what the product or service really is and how it works. Scammers try to tap into one of our most common emotional triggers, greed. Many people get dazzled by dollar signs, and they're finished before they began.

Aggressive marketers often will immediately hit you with an email sign up form before you can even read about their product. This is a marketing tactic to try and make as many sales as possible. If you sign up and click away from their site without buying, you will get tons of email messages reminding you how great they are. Ha! This is actually quite funny because it would never happen in person. I bet you've never been approached in a bar and asked, "Excuse me, before I talk to you can I have your number first just in case you REJECT me?". How about giving us some good quality content so we actually WANT to subscribe?

Marketers will try to tap into our emotions to get us to buy. First they will tap into one of our most powerful emotional triggers, GREED. Maybe you've seen something like this before. Oh Yes, we must not forget to imagine pictures of exotic cars and piles of cash while reading this next paragraph! :-)

"I'm going to tell you a secret that is going to make you $263 a day, in just ten minutes a day! Just send me $197 to get started. Then you can go to Aruba and let the AUTOMATIC CASH roll in! Don't believe me?"

Next the marketer will tell you some really sad story to bring them down to our level, to try and bond with us so we think this is really possible.

"Maybe you WILL believe me if I tell you my really pathetic but amazing story. Recently, I lost my job and I'm a lonely single mom. But that's okay, because now I make MILLIONS and you will too!"

"What? You STILL don't want my amazing product? That's okay I have your email address and I will just send you a TON of reminders until you unsubscribe!"

I hope that after reading this, when you stumble on a similar scam online, you will laugh and see the humor in it because you see right through the marketing hype! :-)
