Realistic Two Red Tulips Acrylic Painting in Impasto Techniques

Two Red Tulips, a Realistic Acrylic Painting Using Impasto Techniques

This acrylic painting was part of a series I completed of red tulips. I originally completed a 16x20" painting featuring several tulips, and decided to create miniature versions. That is where this painting originated from! This 8x10" painting features red tulips on a palette knife background of gold textures. The impasto techniques make the background very textured and alive. The movement of the palette knife makes the scene look dynamic. This technique is wonderful for creating a lively painting!

This painting is for sale on my etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/artbyjae

Please check it out to see some more tulip paintings, or purchase prints of the original painting.
