The Reality of Oneness

Christian by tradition, in December 2000 I had many questions trying to live a "good" Christian life. I asked God and god answered. Shortly after I experienced what could be called an awakening, a realization. That was just the beginning of my journey with God a journey I'm still on. Sometimes a struggle but always an adventure.

Ok, lets be honest, more struggle than adventure. Back to the beginning, for years I was studying the bible, listening to sermons and there was this big contradiction between what I was studying in the bible and the sermons/lessons I was hearing. Well, as I said, back in the first week December 2000 I was feeling very frustrated with this apparent contradiction one day I was watching a preacher on GOD Channel (Kenneth Copeland actually), he was teaching on James 1:5 "If any one lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously without finding fault, and it will be given to him.".

Sounded good to me, so when at the end of the broadcast when asked the Kenneth Copeland viewers to pray James 1:5 I used it to ask for an answer to the aforementioned contradiction. Thirty minuets later I had pretty much forgotten what I had prayed. Two weeks later (Christmas morning) I was unwrapping my gifts, one of which was Conversations with God (book 1) by Neale Donald Walsch. Over the next few days I had a party reading this book I went out and bought books 2 & 3 as soon as I could.

This is where the aforementioned awakening comes in whilsh reading book 2 (I think), that I experienced what could be called an awakening. I'll try and describe the experience, as I was reading I realised that any sense of myself as a separate being had gone. My whole being (Spirit, mind and body) was buzzing with universal energy, God's energy if you will. In fact the room around me and everything in it was also buzzing with that same energy I knew at that moment that I was one with everything, with God, the universe, everything. Although I was still aware of me as me, after a few minuets the experience began to fade and I returned to "normal".

To paraphase the book of Romans chapter 12 and verse 2, ...be transformed by the renewing of your mind.", this "renewing of your mind" is not easy, at least not for me. Frustration and sometimes anger at my lack of progress, the fact that dispite all my effort nothing seems to change. The fact that all these "laws" talked about by the spiritual "teachers" of the world seemed to have zero effect. My health didn't improve and my dream of the perfect home was knowhere to be found.

It has taken years for the truth to sink in, out of fear I was trying force things to happen I was working so, so hard at being in control guess what, I only got more and more flustrated. Things are changing however, when it comes to renewing your mind daily meditation is key. I meditate EVERY day, for at least 1 hour - I use Holosync cds from the Centerpointe Reserch Institute.

Next, when you ask for something (pray), ask and then "cast your care" that is to say, hand your problem over to the universe/God. Prayer is just your ongoing conversation with God, or the part of the self that knows itself as God

I have come to the conclusion that we can try to hard trying to force things only delays manifestation. Freting and worrying never solves anything. Take action, do something, something that takes you where you want to be. Remember, CAST YOUR CARE on God/Life/Universe (They are interchangable). Do what you have to do but DON'T WORRY!.

All that said, I'm still, on the outside at least, in the same old place that I've been in for years. Trust me thing are changing, this is my year I'm convinced of it.

ONENESS, a small word that litteraly means everything. It is your true nature being expressed freely and at full force. It is complete freedom to let loose and enjoy your ride through this life and to fairly explode with joy. Oneness is to experience yourself as connected to everyone and everything, in fact everyone and everything IS YOU being expressed in a multitude of different forms. When this is experienced fear (which come with the illusion of separation) melts away because the idea of not having that "someting" you think you need or need of anything is now impossible.

You are complete, you are whole or holy wanting nothing. You now realise you always were whole. That feelling of need was an illusion, a lie you told yourself, a lie we all have told ourselfs.
