Body Piercings And Tattoos Gone Extreme

Tattoos, piercings, insertions - these are all expressive art forms that people have been using for thousands of years. Many have been a significant part of tribal cultures and rituals for even longer than written history. Today, they are a part of our modern culture.

Certainly, some people, like those shown here, have choosen to stand out a little more than others when it comes to expressing themselves through these mediums.

The photo to the left is the ultimate in multi-layered tattooing. Lucky Diamond Rich from Australia is not only the most tattooed person in the world, having full body coverage, but juggles chainsaws, rides a unicycle, and swallows swords. He has spent over 1,000 hours having his body modified by hundreds of tattoo artists then he decided on a 100% covering of black ink, including eyelids, the delicate skin between the toes, down into the ears, and even his gums.
extreme piercing
The photo to the right is of Elaine Davidson, the World's Most Pierced Women. In Feb of 2009, Davidson had 6,006 piercings, with more than192 in her face alone. She has more piercings in her genitalia however, than in any other part of the body - over 500 in all, externally and internally. The total weight of her jewelry is estimated to be about 3 kilograms.

The photos and information you see here is of Lizardman and taken from his website at: http://www.thelizardman.com/

The Lizardman's unique physical appearance is the result of an ongoing body modification project which began with initial concept and design over decade ago.

lizardman tattoosThis transformation has utilized not only traditional forms of body art, often taken to extreme levels, such as tattooing (The Lizardman has undergone approximately 650 hours worth of tattooing, covering him top to bottom, face included, with reptilian scales and black markings) and body piercing but has also involved relatively new procedures such as 3D art subdermal implants and innovative surgical procedures such as tongue bifurcation.

See more images of the LIzardman, his tatooing and his bifurcated tongue at his webpage.

THAIPUSAM ANNUAL VEGETARIAN FESTIVAL 2007

The Images and information in this section come from the following site: coolpics/people-gallery Please visit the site to see a whole lot more interesting images of really strange people. Be warned, some of the images are not suitable for children

The annual Vegetarian Festival in Thailand celebrates the local Chinese community's belief that abstinence from meat and various stimulants during the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar will help them attain good health and peace of mind. The festival is famous for acts of self mutilation by individuals who believe they are possessed by spirits.
weird people
During the festival amazing feats are performed by the participants who may be in a trance like state or just believe they are posessed by spirits. They walk on burning coals, pierce tender parts of their bodies with sharp or thorny instruments, climb a ladder made of knives barefoot, and generally do such things as might leave an ordinary person dead or in critical condition. All this is done without any apparent suffering, massive loss of blood, or other ill-effect. It is an astonishing spectacle, but not recommended for the faint hearted - performed not by actors but by the common citizens.

The average human body contains enough: iron to make a 3 inch nail, sulfur to kill all fleas on an average dog, carbon to make 900 pencils, potassium to fire a toy cannon, fat to make 7 bars of soap, phosphorous to make 2,200 match heads, and water to fill a ten-gallon tank.

Catman

Dennis Avner has legally changed his name to Catman and has undergone over 2,000 hours of incrediblle modifications and surgery in order to look like his totem animal, the tiger.
body modification
The first thing Dennis did in his transformation was to get his eyes tattooed and since then he's spent over $150,000, and almost 25 years with this startling metamorphosis. Modifications include extensive tattooing, bifurcation (splitting) of his upper lip, surgical pointing of the ears, sillicone cheek and forehead implants, tooth filing, tattoos, and transdermal implants to allow permanent whiskers to be worn.

The catman also enjoys climbing trees and eating raw meat just as a real tiger would.
