I like your lens! I taught Middle School for a few years, but my experiences were the same as yours. Download my free teaching ebook at this address http://bit.ly/iamserious
I think you will find it informative and funny.

You kept it short and sweet! But I've never thought that teaching could be that overwhelming, every student who might have read this will surely appreciate the things their teachers are doing for them. Thanks for sharing this insightful lens!

Great lens! Love the flylady link, thanks for that. I never would have thought of her for classroom organizing, but it makes complete sense. I think I'll "15 minute fling boogie" my classroom :-)

Have you read "The Morning Meeting Book (Strategies for Teachers, 1)" by Roxann Kriete and Lynn Bechtel? I like the way it emphasizes creating a community and what behavior is expected rather than emphasizing consequences to misbehavior.

This is a great lens. I had just started reading "Phonics They Use" before I stumbled across your lens. I can't imagine a more time consuming job nor can I imagine a more rewarding job than teaching. What grade do you teach? Come visit my sites.
