Meet Satan's biggest tools
Sam Oliver lives at home with his parents and brother in the Seattle area. He has always wondered why his mom and dad were so easy on him, whether it was sports, school, or career choices, and so hard on his younger brother,Rolly. Sam dropped out of college ("It made him sleepy", Sock explains) and takes a dead-end job at the 'Work Bench', a home-repair superstore similar to Home Depot (the pilot was filmed at a Canadian Tire in Burnaby, BC). He spends the rest of his time hanging out, playing video games, and pining for his co-worker Andi (Missy Peregrym). (read more)

For his first task, Sam and his friends capture an arsonist who is repeating the crimes he committed in life.

Sam, Sock and Ben discover the soul is a former disgruntled magician who is killing people who don't appreciate his act.
- S01E05 What About Blob?

- S01E08 The Cop
- Sock becomes obsessed with Gladys, the DMV demon, after she comes into The Work Bench and makes some questionable purchases. Unfortunately, Sam discovers the Devil was setting him up to take the rap for a murder the latest escaped soul committed.
- S01E09 Ashes to Ashes

After talking to Mimi, Sam realizes she is dating the Devil, although she thinks he is a playboy businessman named Jerry who refuses to settle down.
