Rebounding Exercises to Improve Your Health

When you invest in a quality rebounder like the Cellerciser, you can bounce and jump on it for exercise.

But what other activities can you do while rebounding to improve your health and start feeling better overall?

There are a number of great techniques that have been used for many years. In fact, many of them date back to the popular mini-trampoline workout exercises in the late 1970s.

NOTE: The following exercises can all be done on a Cellerciser rebounder / mini-trampoline. I can't ensure that you'll be able to do these same exercises on another brand of rebounder. Please proceed with caution if you're using a rebounder other than a Cellerciser. Remember, all rebounders are not created the same.

By the way, dollar for dollar, the Cellerciser is the finest piece of exercise equipment in the world.

The Baby Bounce and Other Rebound Exercises

Here are just a few exercises that Cellerciser creator David Hall finds most effective:

The Baby Bounce
Arguably the most beneficial movement for improving circulation, relieving stress, and improving balance. By gently bouncing up and down we create pressure changes in the body that stimulates and circulates every body part and function. This I call the Baby Bounce. The superior spring design allows for more movement and better support.

Knee Lift
Intense aerobic activity without jarring. The hips are able to move down into the mat allowing ligaments and muscles along the vertebral column to gently stretch. Cellercising can be done slowly or at a sprint.

Thigh-Buttocks
Seen here is a non-bouncing technique of exercise. It's a squat movement with a sprint. The feet stay close to the mat. Utilizing the biggest muscles we can burn off fat and tighten and tone the thighs and buttocks. We have women who have lost their cellulite in as little as 2-3 weeks doing repetitions of this movement. It can actually increase capillary and circulation in the thighs.

Rebounding Exercises: The Twister and The Sit Bounce

>

The Twister
One of the more important routines, special graduated twisting motion loosens the lower back while while improving digestion/elimination. This movement also massages internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, spleen, gall bladder, pancreas, and intestines. David says, "It puts the intestines through a little washing machine everyday!" He says in two to three weeks you can feel like a different person.

The Sit Bounce
On the DVD that accompanies your Cellerciser purchase, you'll learn how to gradually increase and strengthen the stomach, lower abdomen, thighs, and back. The movement starts off with both feet on the ground and advances through a series of movements. Great for the shoulders and chest too!

Rebounding Exercises: Back Kick, Front Kick and Side Swing.

>

Back Kick
By slightly tilting forward and kicking the legs behind us, we can strengthen the lower back and lift the buttocks.

Front Kick
Target the abdomen's muscle group by holding onto the bar and altering the angle of his body. My stomach became a six pack by leveraging my body weight. It also firmed under the chin.

Side Swing
Any one out there really love those love handles? Kicking out side to side helps to strengthen the waist, obliques, hips, and outer thighs tighten.
