Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. It's a long term that we shorten to REBT. Simply put, it's a form of therapy that focuses on beliefs and self-talk as the source of our emotional disturbances.
REBT is technically a subset of cognitive therapy, but the two terms are often interchanged.
What's important is that this is a results-based therapy, in which the patient can stay in the present day. Many folks can use this form of therapy without the presence of a therapist.
