I'd like to let you know about a rather awesome Swedish dude (who comes complete with crazy hair) who got a tad brassed off with his cell phone/mobile phone, whatever you want to call it, bill. He found he made a lot of calls abroad and it was costing him a small fortune. Never one to be taken the Micheal out of, Hjalmar (Swedish dude's name by the way)decided to take matters into his own hands. A year or so later and the rebellious Rebtel was born. All cute, fluffy and very Swedish(see funny looking blue Rebtiles for reference)on the surface, and a big kick up the ass for mobile operators in reality.

HOW IT WORKS...
If you can make free local mobile/cell phone calls then you can make free international ones. Simple!If you are a pre-pay customer you might want to use Rebtel with a fixed phone. We let you make free calls, but you will have to pay your operator the price of a local one (just as you would if you used a calling card).
- Call your friend's Rebtel number (which we send you by SMS)
- Ask them to call you back on the number on their screen while you stay on the line

This works because we've found a way for you to bypass your operator by connecting two local calls in different countries. So basically you and your friend both make local calls, and we join them together over the internet.
