Beef Cuts For Making Beef Jerky
Beef jerky can be made from relatively inexpensive cuts of beef such as round steak or flank steak. The key ingredient here is to look for a cut of beef that contains little or no fat. Easy Recipe Beef Jerky
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 12 hours 15 minutes
Simple and easy to make beef jerky recipe that will get you started. Don't be afraid to experiment until you come up with something that you truly love.
Ingredients
- one flank steak
- four tablespoons of lemon juice
- one half cup of soy sauce
- two tablespoons of honey
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
Slice the flank steak across the grain, shoot for slices about 1/4 inch thick. Combine the remaining ingredients and marinate steak strips in bowl or plastic bag for a minimum of two hours. Place slices on oven rack above a drip pan. Set oven to 150 degrees and leave in oven for twelve hours. Using an electric food dehydrator will take approximately ten hours.
